Activities and Awards

I put great importance in the activities I do in my spare time. I have been part of a few extracurricular activities for many years, and others I have only recently joined but grew a strong affection for. Regardless of what I am doing, I put all my effort in and in return, I have learned valuable life lessons from my mentors and peers.

Model United Nations

I started competing in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences in 2020 as a result of my enjoyment of debate in law class. Since then, I have participated as a delegate in 6 conferences of a variety of skill levels and have Best Delegate awards 3 times. I have also moderated for my schools Model UN conference, CPSSMUN VII

In the 2021-2022 school year, I am the Equity Officer of my school's MUN Club and also helped to write a UNESCO committee for our own 8th annual high school level conference which saw students from all over the Greater Toronto Area.

I am currently the President of Central Peel's Zonta Club. We host weekly meetings of upwards of 70 students where we discuss and learn about issues that females face. In the past, I have contributed to our monthly podcast, held a menstrual product drive to help homeless women in my community, and also hosted awareness campaigns for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Music

I was part of the Peel District School Board's Regional Strings program in Grade 9 and 10 where I played the double bass. I was part of our school orchestra as well as the pop strings ensemble.

Alongside that, I play the bass clarinet and clarinet in my school's concert band and the bass guitar and guitar for my school's jazz band.
